I put a battery in and it does power on as can be seen in the pics. All of the prongs are present as can be seen in the pics. The cord is fine. It's not dry and there are no cuts. The battery lid fits in but is a bit warped as can be seen in the last pic. That's really all I know about this tool. Selling as is....
