1966 BSA Spitfire project with matching numbers. This BSA was restored approximately 5 years ago and developed a lower engine noise shortly after, the bike was shut off immediately to avoid damage. The engine turns freely with good compression, I suspect a failed bearing, cam or crank shim issue. Either way a complete tear down will be required for proper servicing.
